The International MTB Marathon Malevil Cup 2026 begins the countdown and confirms world-class quality.
Jablonné v Podještědí – With just four months to go until the start, the 27th edition of the iconic MTB marathon Malevil Cup is fast approaching, and preparations in the Lusatian Mountains are reaching their peak. The organizers look forward to welcoming everyone who loves cycling – as a sport, a hobby, and a lifestyle.
The starting gun will fire on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in the historic town square of Jablonné v Podještědí.
Malevil Cup has long stood out not only for its unique atmosphere but also for its distinctive cross-border character. The race routes run through both the Czech Republic and Saxony (Germany), offering participants a truly exceptional sporting and natural experience in the heart of the Lusatian Mountains. It is precisely this international dimension that places Malevil Cup among genuine European races.
International Recognition: UCI Confirms Top-Level Standards
The high quality of the event has now been officially confirmed by the final report of the commissaires of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), delivered to the organizers in recent days. The MTB marathon Malevil Cup is part of the UCI International Calendar and also belongs to the prestigious MarathonMan Europe series, ranking it among the respected events on the European marathon scene. The official report highlights the professionalism of the organization and the dedication of the entire event team. For amateur riders, this is a clear signal that they can rely on facilities and race standards comparable to world-class events.
The commissaires particularly praised:
- Maximum safety – excellent coordination of medical teams, mountain rescue services from both the Czech Republic and Germany, and the presence of organizers at all critical sections of the course.
- Outstanding on-course service – well-balanced placement of refreshment stations and technical zones, including neutral mechanical support.
- Participant comfort – strong emphasis on clarity, convenience, and a sense of security for every rider.
Routes for Everyone, Fair Racing, and an Unforgettable Experience.
Malevil Cup has always been primarily a race for amateur cyclists. The organizers’ goal is to provide a friendly atmosphere and, above all, fair and well-designed courses for all performance levels and age categories.
Nearly 300 riders from eight European countries – from Italy to Estonia – are currently registered. The total number of participants is once again expected to exceed one thousand, up to the limit set by the administration of the Lusatian Mountains Protected Landscape Area.
Malevil Cup is open to everyone. The program includes four routes of varying difficulty, a popular men’s and women’s pairs race, and a modern gravel category.
“At the start line, pure amateurs stand side by side with experienced marathon riders and athletes from other disciplines who want to test their fitness in the terrain of the Lusatian Mountains. The race motto is joy of movement, an experience in nature, and a relaxed atmosphere at the finish,” agrees the organizing team. Families with children are not forgotten – a non-competitive cycling ride for both young and old completes the weekend atmosphere, where it’s not only about seconds but about shared experiences.
The MTB marathon Malevil Cup is for everyone.
